The historical record of the Gilpin County Area, as
represented by newspapers printed here from 1862
to the present, is available on microfilm.
FREE INTERNET ACCESS
Free access to the World Wide Web is provided during
Library hours. A time limit of thirty minutes is imposed if patron traffic is high.
MISSION
The Mission of the Gilpin County Library
is to offer prompt and friendly service in a welcoming environment,
to provide access to current sources of information
using contemporary
technologies,
to promote a love of reading and an interest in
books as sources of
information and entertainment,
to aid in the preservation of Gilpin County's rich heritage,
and to respond to the dynamics of our changing community.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

The Friends of the Gilpin County Library is a nonprofit group organized
for the support of the Library. Its members raise funds through booksales
and other means and decide how best to contribute the funds for the
Library's continuing growth in support of its community.
Regular meetings are the 2nd Thursday of every month at
10:00 a.m. in the Alan Green Meeting Room at the Library.
