VACANCY
The Gilpin County Library District is seeking applicants to fill a vacant seat on the Library Board of Trustees.  Candidates must be advocates for the Library in the community and should become familiar with the bylaws, budget, policies, and legal responsibilities of a Trustee in the state of Colorado. Structure

• The Library Board consists of seven county residents who serve five year terms
• Trustees are appointed by the Gilpin County Board of County Commissioners
• The officers shall be a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer, elected from among the appointed Trustees
• Nominations shall be made from the floor at the first meeting of each year
• Officers shall serve a term of one year from the annual meeting at which they are elected and until their successors are duly elected. In the event of a vacancy, the Board shall, by election, fill the vacancy at the next meeting
