SECOND THURSDAY of EVERY MONTH
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
The Virtual Pro Se Clinic (VPC) program provides free monthly legal clinics in over 46 counties across Colorado, at 87 local public libraries. Since 2013, we’ve assisted over 14,000 self-represented parties with their legal questions.
A FREE legal clinic for parties who have no attorney. Volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms, and explain the process and procedure for civil legal issues, including family law, civil litigation, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, veteran’s benefits, and civil protection orders. Our volunteer attorneys are here to help you, but they do not represent you just because they help you at this clinic. This clinic is for information only, and is no substitute for legal representation. You have the right to retain an attorney of your choice at any time, and are strongly advised to do so. Every volunteer attorney will help you the best they can during a one-on-one discussion of about 15 minutes, depending on the questions you have. The volunteer attorney can help you best if you quickly describe your legal issue, leaving as much time as possible for the volunteer attorney to explain the court process and procedure involved. For example:
An important online tool for getting free help with the vast majority of Colorado civil issues is the CHECKERBOARD web site: www.checkerboard.co The CHECKERBOARD is a single point-of-entry web site providing free, 24/7 “one-click” public access for all forms, statutes, rules, instructions, flowcharts, and videos for over 100 different types of Colorado civil issues. |
