Meetings

The Gilpin County Public Library Board of Trustees meets at least every other month throughout the year and as needed.  The  meetings usually take place on the second Thursday of each month in the Library's meeting room.  All meetings are open to the public. Notice of all regular meeting dates shall be posted in the Library's foyer and website.  Agendas will be posted on the website 24hrs before a scheduled meeting.

Structure

• The Library Board consists of seven county residents who serve five year terms
• Trustees are appointed by the Gilpin County Board of County Commissioners
• The officers shall be a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer, elected from among the appointed Trustees
• Nominations shall be made from the floor at the first meeting of each year
• Officers shall serve a term of one year from the annual meeting at which they are elected and until their successors are duly elected. In the event of a vacancy, the Board shall, by election, fill the vacancy at the next meeting
